Shot and Cut Films teamed up with the Portuguese Red Cross for a powerful campaign aimed at encouraging public donations of 0.5% of individuals’ IRS contributions to support the organization’s humanitarian efforts. Directed by Filipe Correia dos Santos, the film presents an emotional dilemma: asking viewers to choose just one life to help, a choice that reflects the real-life challenges faced by those working in aid. The raw, authentic reactions of ordinary people,Shot and Cut Films continues to shine in the creative world, marking its third consecutive year in the final competition at the prestigious Clube da Criatividade de Portugal (CCP) festival. The event, which celebrates the best of Portuguese creativity, took place on the 26th at the Fábrica do Pão at the Hub Criativo do Beato.
This year, Shot and Cut Films walked away with a Silver award for the powerful campaign "Portuguese Red Cross – IRS Consignment 2023," which won in the CRAFT category for Social Causes and Public Good. Directed by Filipe Correia dos Santos and with cinematography by Duarte Domingos, this project, created by the agency Lola Normajean, resonated deeply with the public and judges alike. The campaign's emotional weight and compelling storytelling contributed to its success.
Additionally, the documentary series Tempo, also directed by Filipe Correia dos Santos, earned recognition, with three Bronze awards in the DESIGN category – Graphic Design, and CRAFT – for Campaign/Poster and Photography. Tempo is an original project by Vasco Teodoro that explores the musical creation process of several prominent Portuguese artists, with graphic direction by Marko Rosalline and design by Joana Carvalho and David Gote. The series also featured photography by Arlindo Camacho. These accolades further solidify Shot and Cut Films’ strong presence in Portugal’s creative industry.
