In a vibrant continuation of their Italian storytelling journey, Shot and Cut Films and director Filipe C. Santos were invited to the picturesque Romagna region for the Romagna Welcome initiative. This event brings together creatives from around the world to explore and narrate the region’s rich cultural tapestry, moving beyond its famed coastal attractions to delve into its art, gastronomy, and traditions.
Santos’s latest film, inspired by the timeless work of Federico Fellini—particularly his celebrated film Amarcord—is a deeply personal exploration of memory and place. Shot across Rimini and the wider Romagna region, the project offers a unique view into the local culture through cinematic storytelling, tracing the stories of the region’s people, history, and landscapes.
This collaboration highlights Romagna’s commitment to promoting itself as a multifaceted destination for lovers of culture, art, and travel. The initiative, which is a joint effort between Promozione Alberghiera, the Municipality of Rimini, and other local partners, seeks to showcase the lesser-known beauty and authenticity of the region year-round.
The campaign was developed in partnership with Happy Minds, the creative agency behind the concept.
